Nicole is an experienced early childhood educator with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and Care and a Master’s in Inclusive and Special Education, majoring in Early Childhood. Her academic background underpins her strong commitment to inclusive, equitable learning for all children.
Nicole began her career in 2011 as a Trainee and has spent 13 years working directly on the floor in early learning environments. This extensive hands-on experience has shaped her belief in responsive, relationship-based practice and the importance of seeing children as capable and active participants in their learning. In 2019, she stepped into the role of Educational Leader, and in 2021 joined the Education Team, broadening her impact across services. In mid-2025, Nicole transitioned into an off-the-floor leadership position and is currently an Assistant Director and Educational Lead at Mini Masterminds.
Nicole is actively engaged in the broader early childhood sector. In 2025, she presented at the Early Childhood Australia Conference in Perth on inclusive education and the educator’s role in supporting diverse learners. She will also present at the Cairns Early Childhood Conference in May, focusing on community supports including families, allied health professionals, and leaders. Nicole has upcoming Early Childhood Australia publications scheduled for 2026 and is collaborating with editors to finalise her work. She is also scheduled to contribute to the ECA 2026 Conference program, with her topic to be confirmed.
Outside of her professional work, Nicole enjoys making pasta from scratch, knitting, and spending time with her rescue dog, Benny.
