At Mini Masterminds, every child is known and encouraged to grow at their own pace. Our long day care centres give families a place where children feel safe and secure, and where parents can head to work or get on with their day knowing their child is in good hands.
Long day care is a full-day early learning service for children from birth to 5 years. Our qualified educators plan learning and care around each child, so play, rest, meals and friendships all fit together into a happy day.
Mini Masterminds centres are open from 7am to 6pm for 52 weeks a year, which gives families the flexibility to balance work and home life commitments. We are only closed for Public Holidays and do not break for school holidays. Our long day care is eligible for the Child Care Subsidy, which can reduce your out-of-pocket fees.
The traditional sessional model offers 15 hours per week at set session times on set days of the week. Mini Masterminds programs are embedded through the entire day, with families accessing the centre on days and at times that suit whole family needs. Your child gets the full benefits of a structured program without you having to rearrange your working day to the sessional hours of a stand-alone preschool program.
From the very first days, children are learning from the people and the world around them. These early experiences shape language, thinking, confidence and friendships for years to come. A warm, responsive environment and educators who really know your child can make a lasting difference.
Your child moves through three stages, each designed for their age and development.
Moving rooms is a big step for children and for parents. With Mini Moves, children visit their new room several times before they move, meet their new educators and take home a certificate after each visit. They move up when they are ready.
For children heading to school next year, our Mini Steps to Big School program builds the social, emotional and everyday skills that help them start school with confidence.
There are no hidden costs at Mini Masterminds with our all-inclusive pricing:
“For many of our families, the biggest difference is having one place that covers the whole working day. Children are cared for and learning from morning to afternoon with the same educators and friends, and parents can focus on their day knowing their child is happy and settled.”
“Long day care gives children a steady routine that carries on through the school holidays. They keep learning, playing and building friendships all year round, and families don’t have to find holiday care or juggle different pick-ups and drop-offs.”
The best way to choose a centre is to visit. Book a tour at your local Mini Masterminds centre and meet the team.
Sessional kinder and preschool usually run for a few hours a day, following school term times. Long day care AT Mini Masterminds runs for a full working day all year, and children get the same kindergarten learning program inside that day. It suits families who need care as well as learning.
Yes. Our preschool program for 4 and 5 year olds is led by a qualified early childhood teacher, and follows the national Early Years Learning Framework. Children learn through play, build early literacy and numeracy, and practise the routines that help them start school with confidence.
One place for everything is a big help for working families. There is no juggling of drop-offs between a kinder, a carer and a long day care, and children build lasting friendships with the same educators and children each day. Children also settle more easily because they only have one routine to learn.
Sessional programs stop during school holidays, but Mini Mastermind Centres are open 52 weeks a year. Families don’t need to find holiday care, and children can keep learning and playing with friends they know.
Over summer we run our Summer Learning program, with something new planned every day.
Children don’t spend all day doing structured activities. A long day care day balances learning with play, meals, rest and time outside, and each child’s day is shaped by what they need.
Our Mini Steps to Big School program focuses on the social, emotional and everyday skills that make the first year of school easier, such as taking turns, following routines and building independence.
