About the Role

As Room Leader, you will lead your classroom team to deliver high-quality education and care while creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will mentor educators, support children's learning and development, and work collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team to maintain the highest standards of education and care.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor educators within your room through on-the-floor guidance and support

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging educational programs aligned with the EYLF

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

  • Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing through meaningful interactions

  • Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and all relevant legislation

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and centre-wide goals

  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:


  • Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA-approved)

  • Previous Room Leader or leadership experience within an Early Childhood Education setting

  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications

  • Current Child Protection training/certificate

  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), and National Quality Standards (NQS)

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills

  • A genuine passion for mentoring educators and delivering high-quality education and care
