Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Assistant Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant Riverstone service, a 72-place centre dedicated to inspiring young minds.
In this role, you will work closely with the lead educators to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where every child can thrive. You will assist in planning and delivering high-quality learning experiences, support the implementation of the curriculum, and contribute to the daily care and wellbeing of children.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, adaptable, and committed to fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning in children.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of educators, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and a high-performing culture on the floor.
- Work alongside educators to mentor, support, and model best-practice early childhood education.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, budgets, resources, and compliance, ensuring smooth centre management.
- Develop and deliver engaging, holistic learning programs that support children’s growth, curiosity, and development.
- Prioritise health, safety, and wellbeing, creating a nurturing and inclusive environment for every child.
- Build strong relationships with families and the community, promoting involvement and the centre’s values.
Qualifications and Skills
- Early Childhood Teacher in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- At least 6 months’ experience as an ECT or in a leadership role
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
- Child Protection training/certificate
- Experience or strong interest in leadership and management pathways
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
