Position Overview
Join the exciting journey of our brand-new, purpose built Tallawong service, catering for 78 children across three beautiful learning rooms. As the Assistant Director, you will work alongside the Centre Director to inspire, guide, and support our passionate team, ensuring a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment for children, families, and educators alike.

Responsibilities
- Support the Centre Director in leading and inspiring a team of educators, encouraging collaboration, professional growth, and a positive workplace culture.
- Work closely with educators to mentor, guide, and model best-practice early childhood education on the floor.
- Assist with the smooth day-to-day operations of the centre, including rostering, resource coordination, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of engaging, holistic learning programs that nurture children’s curiosity, creativity, and development.
- Champion the health, safety, and wellbeing of children, creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all.
- Foster strong partnerships with families and the local community, promoting engagement and supporting the centre’s vision and values.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
- At least 6 months’ experience as an Educational Leader or in a leadership role
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
- Child Protection training/certificate
- Experience or strong interest in leadership and management pathways
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
