Physical development is just as important as mental stimulation! Mini Champions class is a mixed sports program that is specially designed to promote the development of both large and small muscles groups, all while learning important social skills including co-operation and teamwork.
We have carefully designed a weekly sports program called ‘Mini Champions’ that enables children to gain fitness regardless of their athletic ability. Children get a great workout, and it’s lots of fun. Our sports program is available to children aged three and above at no additional charge.
Health & Wellbeing
Our program provides a skill set for young children that are designed specifically for their age group. The activities are safe, sound and certified so that children have fun while they are learning.
Whether team-based or individual, sports are an excellent activity for children that provide a variety of benefits other than physical activity. Participation in sports can help build self esteem and confidence, motivate children to excel academically, and help build social skills.
Teaching and allowing the children to engage in mixed sport provides an opportunity for exercise that can help keep kids in shape and healthy. It also promotes health and wellness not only through childhood but throughout a child’s lifetime.
Learning & Development
Mixed sports teaches coordination and a variety of skills in a recreational and easy to adopt way. Our Mini Champions program helps children’s concentration, persistence and self-discipline while promoting teamwork, taking turns and sharing. There is also evidence to suggest that physical activity may improve numeracy and literacy.
Self-Esteem & Confidence
The Mini Champions Program provides the opportunity to increase your child’s self-image and reduce shyness. Learning and achieving new skills empowers children and makes them feel good about themselves. It is an integral part of their physical and social development. They are also less likely to feel isolated when participating in a team sport with their friends.
